Make Sure You’re Prepared With ICD-10 Training!

The ICD-10 implementation was pushed back to October 1st, 2015 when the United States Senate, backed up against a March 31st deadline to fix the Medicare Sustainable Growth Rate(SGR) in the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014, voted to delay the implementation of ICD-10-CM/PCS until at least October 1, 2015. The healthcare industry has been preparing for the changeover to occur on October 1, 2014.

However, this doesn’t mean that it’s time to slack off. Learning the new codes is a daunting task, and very complicated. It requires intense study, and is a task that needs to be embarked upon quickly. This is especially true for physicians. They need to be informed as soon as possible of the changes so that they know what procedures they are performing and how to notate them.

Front office staff also needs to be trained, specifically by those who have already passed the certifications and know what they are doing. Medical Billing Solutions, Inc. is offering a Boot Camp for the purpose of mastering the new ICD-10 Certification. This Boot Camp consists of 2 days of intensive ICD-10-CM code set training to prepare the experienced coder for the transition to the ICD-10-CM code set. This Boot Camp will also prepare the enrollee for the AAPC ICD-10-CM Proficiency Assessment Examination that is required by many of the AAPC Credentials. A live CPC® Certified individual teaches this Boot Camp. Individuals enrolling in this Boot Camp will gain experience via live coding scenarios, individual and group exercises and exam taking techniques.
This Boot Camp is held at our MBS Corporate Headquarters in Troy, Illinois. Classes are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time with a morning and afternoon break and one hour for lunch on your own. Each class is limited to five enrollees to ensure each enrollee receives the best learning experience possible. We can also offer the training course in any location throughout the United States and via Skype for those not able to attend in person. Please call us at (888) 810-0098 if you are interested in receiving training at an alternative location or connected over the internet so we may customize our training to better accommodate your needs, number of enrollees, and situation.
This Boot Camp will include material for the attendee to gain proficiency across the covered material in addition to an ICD-10-CM Coder Training Manual. This material includes Transitioning from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines, E&M, Anesthesia, Surgery, Radiology, Pathology, Medicine, Cardiology, Male Genital, Female Genital, Reproductive Systems, Maternity, Digestive, Urinary, Endocrine, Eye, Injury, Poisoning, and External Causes.
Those enrolling are not required to have the CPC® credential to enroll in the ICD-10-CM Boot Camp.

The current edition of the 2014 ICD-10-CM Draft Code Set Book is needed for this course and is not included in the price of tuition.

*You may choose to purchase this book on your own or at a reduced price through Medical Billing Solutions, Inc. (MBS). Purchasing this book through MBS will also ensure you are using the same book that the Boot Camp is taught with.
